A website named DogeQuest has reportedly exposed the personal details of Tesla owners across the United States, including names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails. The site features an interactive map displaying Tesla dealership locations, charging stations, and even information about employees of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), an agency led by Elon Musk.
Concerns have escalated as the website refuses to remove personal data unless Tesla owners provide proof of selling their vehicles. The use of a Molotov cocktail image as the site’s cursor has further raised fears of potential violence. Reports suggest that Tesla dealerships and vehicles have been targeted, with incidents of arson in Las Vegas and increasing harassment of Cybertruck owners.

The controversy comes amid growing protests against Musk’s role in the government agency, which has made major budget cuts, leading to widespread backlash. Critics argue that the website’s encouragement of “creative expressions of protest” could incite further harassment and vandalism against Tesla owners.
As a result of the negative publicity, Tesla’s stock has taken a major hit, dropping 6% recently and falling 53% since December 2024. Investors are growing concerned, with some calling for Musk to step down as CEO. Meanwhile, federal authorities are reportedly looking into the situation, but no official response has been issued.
