A US federal judge has ruled that NSO Group, the maker of Pegasus spyware, violated state and federal hacking laws in a case filed by WhatsApp. The court found NSO responsible for hacking 1,400 devices in May 2019, breaching the US Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
