Vivo has launched its new Buds Clip wireless earbuds alongside the X500 smartphone series. They are the company’s first clip-on open-ear earbuds.

The new earbuds are designed to keep the ear canal completely open. This allows users to hear surrounding sounds while listening to audio.

Vivo has introduced two versions of the Buds Clip. The standard model is currently available at a promotional price of $89.

Its regular price is $104. The company has also introduced a wireless charging version. It costs $104 during the promotional period.

The regular price of the wireless charging model will be $119. Both versions offer the same open-ear approach.

Design and Audio

The Buds Clip feature a clip-on design that attaches to the edge of the ear. Each earbud uses a flexible memory titanium alloy bridge.

Each unit weighs only 5.2 grams. The earbuds also have a symmetrical design.

There is no separate left or right earbud. Users can place either bud on either ear.

The system automatically detects how the earbuds are worn. It then adjusts the stereo channels accordingly.

The Buds Clip are available in black, white and purple. The white and purple versions feature a textured pearlescent finish.

For audio output, the earbuds use 12mm drivers. Vivo has also included an anti-leakage feature.

This feature uses directional audio to aim sound toward the ear canal. It is designed to reduce sound leakage.

Audio Features and Calls

The earbuds include an adaptive volume feature. It automatically adjusts audio levels according to surrounding noise.

Users can also customize the sound through a 10-band equalizer. This allows listeners to adjust different audio frequencies.

For calls, the Buds Clip use two microphones. They also include a bone-conduction sensor.

The system helps separate the user’s voice from background noise. This is designed to provide clearer calls in noisy environments.

Battery and Durability

Each earbud offers up to 10 hours of playback on one charge. The charging case extends total battery life to 42 hours.

The earbuds also support fast charging. Ten minutes of charging can provide up to three hours of playback.

The Buds Clip have an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. This provides added protection during everyday use.

Controls and Connectivity

Users can control the earbuds through a touch-sensitive area. Tapping the surface can play or pause audio.

Sliding gestures can also be used to adjust the volume. The earbuds support Bluetooth connectivity with up to three devices simultaneously.

Vivo Software Features

Some advanced features are available only with compatible Vivo or iQOO smartphones. These include real-time translation capabilities.

The earbuds can also provide AI-generated transit notifications. These features are integrated with compatible smartphone software.
