Vivo has introduced a new smartphone carrying a familiar name. The company has quietly listed the new Vivo Y32 on its website.

The name was previously used for another Vivo smartphone launched in 2021. However, the latest model comes with significantly different hardware.

Key upgrades include a large 8,000mAh battery, a 120Hz display and a newer chipset. The phone also runs Android 16.

Vivo Y32 Display and Design

The new Vivo Y32 features a 6.87-inch LCD panel. It offers a resolution of 1592 × 720 pixels.

The display supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It can also reach up to 1,300 nits of brightness. Vivo will offer the smartphone in Twilight Red and Sunset Orange colour options.

The device also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings. These ratings provide protection against dust and water under specified conditions.

A fingerprint sensor is positioned on the side and integrated into the power button.

Performance and Software

The smartphone is powered by the 6nm Unisoc T7300 chipset.

Its processor includes two Cortex-A78 cores running at up to 2.2GHz. Six Cortex-A55 cores operate at up to 2.0GHz.

The chipset is paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Buyers can choose between 4GB and 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The phone also supports extended RAM functionality.

Both variants include 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Users can expand storage by up to 2TB using a microSD card. The phone uses a hybrid SIM slot for expansion.

The Vivo Y32 runs Android 16 with Vivo’s OriginOS 6 interface.

Vivo Y32 Camera Setup

The rear camera system features a 50MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

It is paired with a 2MP bokeh camera with an f/2.4 aperture. A rear flash is also included.

For selfies and video calls, Vivo has provided an 8MP front-facing camera.

Massive 8,000mAh Battery

One of the phone’s biggest highlights is its battery capacity.

The handset packs an 8,000mAh typical battery, while its rated capacity is 7,800mAh.

It supports 44W wired fast charging. Reverse charging support is also included.

The large battery could make the phone attractive to users who prioritize longer usage between charges.

Price and Availability

Vivo has not yet announced official pricing for the new model.

Details about wider international availability are also currently unavailable.

The revived Y32 name brings substantial changes compared with the earlier model. Its large battery and 120Hz display are among its main highlights.
