Belarus Invites 150,000 Skilled Pakistani Workers for Nation-Building Efforts

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that Belarus had extended an invitation for over 150,000 highly skilled Pakistani workers to contribute to the country’s development. This generous offer was hailed as a significant opportunity for Pakistan’s youth, ensuring they benefit from meaningful work opportunities while contributing to Belarus’ economy.

During a joint press briefing with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, the prime minister emphasized that Pakistan’s workforce, internationally certified and accredited, would be a valuable asset to Belarus.

Sharif also expressed interest in learning from Belarus’ agricultural expertise, as Pakistan strives to improve crop yields through modern methodologies. He suggested the potential for joint ventures between Pakistani and Belarusian companies to enhance agriculture, mining, and manufacturing sectors. The prime minister highlighted the vast mineral deposits in Pakistan, offering a basis for cooperation in the mining industry.

President Lukashenko stressed the importance of strengthening Pakistan-Belarus ties and expanding collaboration in various sectors, including trade, agriculture, technology, and defense.

Both leaders agreed to increase cooperation in these areas and signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to further their bilateral relationship. The two countries also agreed to send skilled Pakistani workers to Belarus, collaborate on agricultural machinery manufacturing, and work on electric bus production.

In a social media post, Sharif reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing Pakistan-Belarus relations, highlighting their agreement on skilled worker exchange, agriculture cooperation, and manufacturing partnerships. He expressed optimism about the future of their bilateral cooperation, aiming for a lasting and productive partnership.
