A Pakistan Army captain was martyred while leading a successful anti-terror operation in Dera Ismail Khan, where security forces eliminated 10 terrorists, as confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.
The intelligence-based operation was conducted on March 20, 2025. During an intense exchange of gunfire, 24-year-old Captain Hasnain Akhtar from Jhelum district embraced martyrdom while courageously leading his troops from the front.

According to the ISPR, security forces seized a large cache of weapons and ammunition during the operation. The eliminated terrorists were involved in various anti-state activities, including attacks on law enforcement agencies and targeted killings of innocent civilians.
The military’s media wing paid tribute to Captain Hasnain, highlighting his bravery and leadership. In an official statement, ISPR emphasized that the sacrifices of such courageous young officers strengthen the armed forces’ determination to combat terrorism.
Security forces continue their commitment to eliminating terrorism, with sanitization operations still underway in the region.
