A video from China has shocked social media users, exposing a disturbing workplace practice that sparked widespread criticism.
The footage shows employees at a Chinese company bowing before their boss and chanting slogans expressing their readiness to sacrifice their lives for him. They repeatedly chant, “Welcome Boss Huang of the Qiming branch. Whether we live or die, we will never let our work mission fail.”

The video, filmed in Guangzhou, captures both male and female employees lying on the ground in the office hallway, demonstrating excessive subservience. The incident has sparked a broader conversation about toxic work cultures in China.
Despite the video going viral, the company’s legal team denied any involvement from the owner in such practices.
The South China Morning Post reported that the company’s legal advisor claimed the boss was not part of the incident, and the video does not reflect the company’s actual practices. Nonetheless, the footage continued to circulate, fueling debates about the intense pressures and harsh work cultures often seen in Chinese workplaces.
