The court sentenced the accused to 10 years in prison and imposed a fine of Rs. 1 million each. This case, filed three years ago, reflects growing concerns over the misuse of digital platforms to fuel religious discord in the Muslim-majority nation.

The convicted individuals were found guilty of posting blasphemous content on multiple Facebook pages and groups.

The judgment underscores the serious legal consequences of spreading divisive or inflammatory material online, serving as a warning against the misuse of social media.
