Madinah and its surrounding desert regions have been hit with heavy rain since early morning, leading to localized flooding and major disruptions. The intense downpour, accompanied by thunder, lightning, and reports of hail, has caused a sharp drop in temperatures.
Many visitors at the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid Nabawi) embraced the rain as a blessing, taking the opportunity to pray under the downpour.

The Saudi Arabian Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Jeddah and Mecca, warning of more heavy rain, strong winds, and the risk of flash flooding in the coming hours.
Experts predict the rain may last throughout the day, with conditions improving in the evening. People are advised to remain indoors unless necessary and avoid areas prone to flooding. Emergency services are on alert for any urgent situations.
