Despite hours of firefighting efforts, over 35 shops were completely destroyed due to the intensity of the flames. Shopkeepers and store owners hurriedly removed their goods to minimize losses.
While no fatalities were reported, a firefighter and two shopkeepers were hospitalized due to smoke inhalation. The building was evacuated, and power to the tower was temporarily cut off by K-Electric to limit the damage.
The first floor, which housed hundreds of shops, was the hardest hit, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Those affected by the fire have called on the Sindh government for compensation, as they face significant losses from the destruction of 35 shops and the damage to around 80 others.
