In messages honoring the victims, both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to eliminating terrorism and paying tribute to the sacrifices made by the APS martyrs.
President Zardari called the attack an “inhumane and heinous crime” targeting innocent children, marking December 16 as a day that forever altered Pakistan’s collective memory. He also honored the ongoing sacrifices of Pakistan’s security forces and civilians in the battle against terrorism.
Prime Minister Sharif described the attack as an “unforgettable tragedy,” mourning the loss of 144 innocent lives, and underscored the pain felt by the victims’ families. He emphasized that this attack was an assault on the future of the nation, reiterating Pakistan’s determination to stand united against terrorists and extremists. Sharif also praised the bravery of the APS children, teachers, and families, as well as the sacrifices of Pakistan’s security forces in their fight against terrorism.
