In Lahore, punjab college students held mass protests following allegations that a security guard had raped a student. As the incident gained national attention and sparked a high-level investigation, the father of the alleged victim appeared in a video to clarify the situation.
Accompanied by Punjab police officer ASP Shahrbano Naqvi, the father addressed the media, explaining that the ongoing protests were unrelated to his daughter.

He stated that his daughter had sustained a domestic injury at home, causing a back sprain that led to her hospitalization, and expressed surprise at the protests. He also mentioned that they had provided the police with medical reports about their daughter’s condition.
The father urged students to stop sharing his daughter’s pictures online, as it was adding to their distress. ASP Shahrbano Naqvi also appealed to the public not to spread false information, emphasizing the emotional toll on families, and assured that police would take necessary action if any incidents involving women occurred.
