PAA Enforces Ban on Photography and Videography in Airport Operational Areas

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has implemented a ban on photography and videography in the operational zones of airports, including apron areas and aircraft maintenance sites.

This restriction applies to all airlines and aviation companies operating in the country. As per sources, the directive was issued following the unauthorized circulation of a photograph featuring a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft.

According to the PAA’s notification, only designated aircraft engineers and maintenance personnel are permitted to capture photos or videos of aircraft, and only when deemed essential for maintenance purposes.

To ensure compliance, the PAA has warned that strict disciplinary actions will be taken against any airline staff, including ground handling personnel, found violating this rule. This measure has been introduced as a security precaution to prevent unauthorized media capture in sensitive airport areas.
