The highly awaited 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) kicks off today in Rawalpindi, with a grand opening ceremony set for 7 PM. The star-filled event will feature performances by renowned artists such as Abida Parveen, Ali Zafar, Abrar-ul-Haq, Natasha Baig, Talha Anjum, and Young Stunners, along with a stunning fireworks display to mark the occasion.
To ensure safety, tight security measures have been implemented, while the intense summer heat presents a challenge for the organizers this year.

International cricket icons, including former England captain Sir Alastair Cook, Pakistan’s legendary pacer Wasim Akram, and ex-MCC President Mark Nicholas, will be part of the commentary team.
The opening match will see defending champions Islamabad United take on Lahore Qalandars at 8:30 PM at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The playoff schedule includes the Qualifier on May 13 in Rawalpindi, the first Eliminator on May 14 in Lahore, and the second Eliminator on May 16, also in Lahore. The final will be held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on May 18, where the PSL champion will be crowned.
Islamabad United has won the PSL title three times (2016, 2018, 2024), while Lahore Qalandars has lifted the trophy twice (2022, 2023). Peshawar Zalmi (2017), Quetta Gladiators (2019), Karachi Kings (2020), and Multan Sultans (2021) have each claimed the championship once.
