The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has condemned the killing of eight medics in Rafah, southern Gaza, expressing outrage over the attack.
The ambulance team was targeted in al-Hashashin on March 23, and their bodies were only recovered after a week due to restricted access. One medic remains unaccounted for.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) confirmed that the bodies were found alongside six Gaza civil defense workers and a UN employee. Hamas blamed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for the attack, but the IDF has not responded to the Red Cross statement.
On Saturday, the Israeli military acknowledged firing on ambulances in southern Gaza, labeling them “suspicious vehicles” and alleging that militants were using them for attacks.
The IFRC denounced the strike as a violation of international humanitarian law, stressing that medical personnel must be safeguarded in conflict zones.
