Neeraj Chopra, India’s javelin throw sensation and Olympic gold medallist, married Himani Mor, a former tennis player, on Sunday, January 19, in a private ceremony in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The intimate event was attended by only 40-50 close family members and friends.

Neeraj shared wedding photos on social media, captioned, “Started a new chapter of life with my family.” His heartfelt message, “Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after,” delighted fans, who were surprised and overjoyed by the announcement.

The newlyweds are currently in the United States for their honeymoon, and a grand reception is planned upon their return to India. Who Is Himani Mor?

Himani Mor hails from Sonipat, Haryana, and is a former tennis player turned sports management professional. A graduate of Miranda House, Delhi University, she pursued advanced studies in Sports Management and Business Administration in the United States.

Currently, Himani is completing her Master of Science at the Isenberg School of Management and serves as the team manager for the women’s tennis team at Amherst College, Massachusetts. Her career spans sports administration, business development, and strategic planning.

Earlier in the season, he set a personal best of 89.49m at the Lausanne Diamond League. At the Paris Olympics, Neeraj earned a silver medal with an 89.45m throw, finishing behind Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who won gold with a record-breaking 92.97m effort.
