Today marks the 46th death anniversary of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
To commemorate the occasion, the PPP has organized events at district headquarters across the country, with the main ceremony taking place at Bhutto’s mausoleum in Gharhi Khuda Bux, Larkana. Special Quran Khawani and fateha khawani sessions will also be held nationwide in honor of his soul.

The Sindh government has declared today a public holiday.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to his father, emphasizing Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s significant contributions to Pakistan’s foreign policy, democracy, and national progress. In his message, Bilawal highlighted Bhutto’s dynamic foreign policy, which earned Pakistan respect in the Muslim world and the global community. He also praised Bhutto as Pakistan’s first directly elected Prime Minister, who united the nation, empowered the working class, and set the country on a path of development.
Bilawal further acknowledged Bhutto’s legacy of establishing Pakistan’s consensus Constitution, which guaranteed democracy and human rights, and his pivotal role in developing the country’s nuclear capabilities. “He continues to live on in the hearts of the people,” Bilawal concluded.
