WhatsApp has introduced a new feature called “Flows,” expanding its in-app shopping experience. This feature enables users to shop for various items and services without leaving their WhatsApp chats, including items like train tickets and meals.
Initially launching in India on WhatsApp Business accounts, Flows allows businesses to offer menus and forms for easy purchases. Users in India can add items to their cart and utilize payment options like UPI, debit cards, and credit cards.

To ensure secure transactions, WhatsApp has partnered with Razorpay and PayU. The platform is also working on a verification feature called “Meta Verified” for businesses, providing a trust badge to legitimate businesses and offering benefits like a customizable WhatsApp web page and multi-device support.
It’s important to note that this feature is still in testing and not yet available on the Business Platform. Its availability in Pakistan remains uncertain, but it could represent a significant advancement in online shopping via WhatsApp.
