Woman Allegedly Raped in Hospital’s X-Ray Room in Rawalpindi

A distressing incident has come to light as a mother of two was reportedly raped within the confines of the government-operated Benazir Bhutto Hospital in Rawalpindi. The alleged crime occurred in the x-ray room, prompting authorities to register a case under section 376 (punishment for rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The victim’s medical examination substantiated the assault, leading to the initiation of investigations.

The Waris Khan locality’s Station House Officer (SHO), Inspector Javaid Iqbal, revealed that a hospital employee was currently in police custody. The inquiry is being pursued from multiple angles, with efforts aimed at apprehending the primary perpetrator soon.

According to the initial First Information Report (FIR), the complainant recounted being summoned to Benazir Bhutto Hospital by the prime suspect, who later coerced her into the x-ray room. Another accomplice, identified as a hospital employee, was present during the heinous act. The complainant detailed that the main suspect exploited indecent videos to blackmail her before committing the assault within the hospital’s computer room.

The FIR further disclosed that the complainant, who was divorced, had been in a relationship with the accused for three years, with the latter consistently promising marriage. This shocking incident has stirred outrage and calls for swift justice as authorities address the harrowing violation of trust within a healthcare setting.

In a separate distressing case in Islamabad, authorities revealed that the tragic murder of an eight-year-old girl was compounded by evidence of rape, intensifying concerns about the safety and protection of vulnerable individuals.
