217kg of Naswar Seized in Raid on Illegal Factory in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah

Saudi authorities raided an illegal naswar production facility in Jeddah, seizing 217 kilograms of the substance.

The Jeddah municipality led the operation, during which several foreign nationals were arrested for converting their residence into a factory producing naswar and other illegal substances.

The confiscated naswar was destroyed, and the suspects were handed over to police.

Last year, naswar was classified as an illegal narcotic across Arab nations, with strict penalties for possession, and Pakistani nationals are warned not to carry it while traveling to the region.
