Doctors in China successfully removed a massive bladder stone from a farmer after years of severe urinary problems. The rare case gained attention after medical experts confirmed the patient had been carrying a โ1.3kg bladderโ stone that nearly blocked his urinary system completely.
According to foreign media reports, the patient, identified as Chen, belongs to Longtang town in Guangdong province. He had been suffering from painful urinary symptoms for almost three years. Despite worsening discomfort, he delayed medical treatment and continued working on his farm.
Doctors said the โ1.3kg bladderโ stone had grown to a dangerous size over time. The condition eventually began affecting the patientโs daily routine and overall health.
Chen reportedly believed his symptoms were linked to a common prostate problem. He relied on medication and avoided visiting a hospital. However, his condition continued to deteriorate. He struggled to urinate and often had to change body positions to get relief.
The patient also experienced frequent urges to urinate, especially at night. According to reports, the pain became severe and difficult to manage. He even avoided traveling far from home due to fear of sudden urinary problems.
After repeated requests from family members, Chen finally agreed to undergo medical examinations at a hospital. Doctors quickly discovered a huge stone inside his bladder. Medical scans showed the stone had almost fully blocked the urine passage.
According to Lin Yuan, Deputy Chief Physician of the Urology Department, the stone measured 13 centimeters in length and 10 centimeters in width. It weighed nearly 1.3 kilograms, making it an extremely rare medical case.
Doctors described the condition as a โ1.3kg bladderโ stone case because of its unusual size and weight. X-ray images showed that the stone occupied most of the bladder space.
Medical experts warned that delaying treatment could have caused life-threatening complications. The constant pressure on the bladder walls could have damaged nearby organs and severely affected kidney function.
The surgical team later performed a successful procedure to remove the giant stone. Doctors confirmed that the patient is now recovering after the operation.
Health experts say bladder stones can develop due to untreated urinary infections or blockages. They advised people to seek medical help early if symptoms continue for long periods.
The unusual โ1.3kg bladderโ case has now drawn widespread attention online due to its rare nature and the patientโs long struggle with the condition.
