Emirates has announced a major technology upgrade for its global fleet through a new partnership with SpaceX’s Starlink, aiming to deliver high-speed in-flight Wi-Fi to passengers around the world. The collaboration marks a significant milestone for Elon Musk’s satellite internet service as it expands further into the Middle East aviation market.
According to the airline, the enhanced connectivity service will be introduced this month on Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft. The Airbus A380 fleet will begin receiving the same system in February 2026.
The airline plans to equip around 14 aircraft every month, with full integration expected by mid-2027. This timeline reflects one of the largest and fastest Wi-Fi retrofit programs undertaken in commercial aviation.
