Golden Visa UAE: ICP Dismisses Lifetime Visa Claims and Warns Against Scams

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) has denied claims that the Golden Visa UAE is being offered as a lifetime visa to select nationalities. In an official statement, the authority confirmed that such reports are false and not backed by UAE law.

The ICP clarified that the process for applying for the Golden Visa UAE is clearly outlined under legal and ministerial guidelines. It urged the public to refer only to official channels, such as the ICP website or mobile app, for accurate and updated information.

Several foreign consultancy firms recently promoted misleading advertisements, claiming that lifetime Golden Visas are available under simplified procedures. The ICP has strongly refuted these claims, stressing that the Golden Visa UAE is granted based on strict eligibility criteria.

Importantly, the authority stated that no external or internal consultancy agency is authorized to apply or submit Golden Visa applications on behalf of individuals. All such applications must be processed directly through UAE government platforms.

The ICP also issued a warning to the public to avoid paying unofficial agents or third-party consultants. Any attempts to obtain the visa through unauthorized sources may lead to fraud or legal consequences.

People planning to live, work, or invest in the UAE are advised not to share their personal documents with unrecognized entities. The ICP reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, safety, and legal compliance in the visa process.

The Golden Visa UAE continues to offer long-term residency to investors, entrepreneurs, skilled professionals, and students, but within the legal framework. The authority has assured that any misuse or spread of false information will be dealt with through legal action.
