ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has finalized the application process for Hajj 2027 under the government scheme.
According to ministry sources, applications are expected to open in the third week of August. The process will allow eligible Pakistani citizens to apply for the pilgrimage.
Overseas Pakistanis will also be able to apply under the government Hajj scheme. This will provide an opportunity for eligible Pakistanis living abroad to participate.
The ministry has also finalized the payment procedure for selected pilgrims. Hajj expenses will be collected through two equal installments.
Applicants will initially have to pay 50% of the total Hajj cost. The remaining amount will be collected through the second installment.
The two-payment system is expected to reduce the immediate financial burden on successful applicants. Pilgrims will not have to arrange the complete Hajj cost in one payment.
The government will continue accepting applications until the allocated quota is filled. Authorities will stop receiving further applications once the quota reaches its limit.
Pakistan’s total Hajj quota for 2027 has been fixed at 179,210 pilgrims. The quota will be divided between government and private Hajj schemes.
Around 60% of the total quota has been allocated to the government scheme. The remaining 40% will be available for private Hajj operators.
The distribution will allow pilgrims to choose between government arrangements and approved private operators. Both schemes will operate within Pakistan’s overall allocated quota.
The finalized payment mechanism is a key part of the Hajj 2027 application process. It gives successful applicants more flexibility when managing pilgrimage expenses.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs is expected to release additional details soon. These details will include application dates and other requirements.
Officials are also expected to announce the cost of Hajj packages. The ministry will provide information about the payment schedule before applications officially open.
Applicants are advised to wait for official announcements before submitting payments. Further instructions will clarify the application procedure and required documents.
The government’s preparations are aimed at ensuring a smooth application process. The ministry will manage applications according to the approved quota.
