TEHRAN / TEL AVIV – Iran has carried out extensive attacks on Israel, deploying dozens of missiles and drones in response to the recent US-Israel operations targeting Tehran. The escalation highlights growing instability in the region.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reportedly used “Khaibar Shekan” missiles equipped with cluster munitions during the strikes. Live cameras showing Tel Aviv’s airspace were redirected toward the streets, preventing missile trajectories from being visible as they entered Israeli airspace. Reports indicate that air raid sirens in Tel Aviv were not activated during the attack.
Meanwhile, US Central Command Admiral Brad Cooper confirmed that the US is now in the sixth day of the ongoing Iran conflict. He stated that American forces have targeted over 200 sites in Iran in the past 72 hours. Cooper also claimed that Iranian drones destroyed a U.S. naval vessel, while more than 30 Iranian naval ships were neutralized.
President Donald Trump commented on the situation, expressing support for potential Kurdish operations against Iran. He also noted that the selection process for Iran’s next leader is in its early stages, adding that Mojtaba Khamenei is an unlikely successor.
Despite the escalation, oil prices have not surged significantly, and the Strait of Hormuz remains open. Trump emphasized that U.S. operations against Iran are proceeding according to plan and that there is no set timeline for further military action. He also highlighted the country’s large stockpiles of weapons and ammunition, stating that increased defense production has made invoking the Defense Production Act unnecessary at this stage.
Analysts warn that the ongoing conflict could have wider implications for regional security, energy markets, and global diplomacy. Iran’s use of advanced missile systems demonstrates its capability to retaliate effectively, even amid heavy U.S. and Israeli operations.
