ISIS Leader Abu Khadija Killed in Joint Iraqi-US Operation

Abu Khadija, also known as Abdallah Makki Muslih al-Rufayi, the leader of ISIS, was killed in a joint operation conducted by Iraqi security forces and the US-led coalition. The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, confirmed the death, describing Abu Khadija as one of the most dangerous terrorists in the world.

The operation took place in Iraq’s Al Anbar province on March 13, where a precision airstrike targeted Abu Khadija. He was a key figure in ISIS’s global operations and logistics, serving as the group’s second-in-command.

US President Donald Trump also announced the operation, praising the collaboration between US and Iraqi forces. CENTCOM confirmed Abu Khadija’s identity through DNA analysis and revealed that he was heavily armed at the time of the strike.
