Israeli forces have killed two Palestinians in the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, raising the death toll in the region to 19 since the start of Israel’s major offensive two weeks ago. The victims, Yazan Hatem al-Hassan and Amir Abu Hassan, were shot dead during a military operation on Thursday.
In addition to the fatalities, three Palestinian women were injured by shrapnel from an Israeli airstrike on a building in the camp. The escalation in violence has seen increasing casualties, including the deaths of two youths on Tuesday and another 10 Palestinians in a drone strike in Ramallah on Wednesday.

The ongoing military aggression, part of Israel’s “Iron Wall” offensive, has drawn international condemnation, with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa calling for immediate action to halt the violence. He accused Israel of a “systematic effort” to undermine Palestinian statehood, as Israeli forces continue to target Palestinian communities in the West Bank.
This violence comes on the heels of Israel’s devastating war on Gaza, which has left tens of thousands dead and injured. International calls for intervention to end the destruction and suffering in Palestine are growing louder.
