Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that senior Hamas leader Mohammad Sinwar was killed in a recent Israeli airstrike in Gaza.
As reported by international media, Netanyahu made this statement during an address to the Israeli parliament (Knesset), alleging that Sinwar was targeted in an Israeli strike on a hospital in southern Gaza earlier in May. On May 21, he suggested that Sinwar was likely among those killed.

During his address, Netanyahu declared, “We have eliminated Mohammed Deif, Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, and Mohammed Sinwar.”
He also announced that Israel has assumed control over the distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza.
Mohammad Sinwar had taken over leadership of Hamas operations in Gaza following reports of Yahya Sinwar’s death. However, as of now, Hamas has not officially confirmed Mohammad Sinwar’s death.
