Israeli Troops Vandalize Mosque In Rafah, Converting It Into A Restaurant

Israeli soldiers have converted a mosque at the Rafah Crossing into a headquarters, restaurant, and entertainment center, demonstrating blatant disrespect for Palestinian religious and cultural sites.

Located just 280 meters from Egyptian territory, the Rafah Crossing mosque has been the target of Israel’s egregious actions.

A video circulated on social media showed soldiers cooking inside the mosque, defacing its walls with graffiti, and tampering with its contents.

This incident occurred amidst a surge in Israeli military activity in the Rafah area. Residents reported that Israeli tanks pushed deeper into the western area of Rafah during a particularly intense night of bombardment from air, ground, and sea, prompting many families to flee their homes and tents under cover of darkness.

Additionally, Israeli forces advanced towards the Al-Mawasi area of Rafah near the beach, which has been designated as a humanitarian zone in all announcements and maps published by the Israeli army since the beginning of its Rafah offensive in May.

However, the Israeli military has denied launching any strikes inside the Al-Mawasi humanitarian zone.
