KUWAIT CITY: Authorities have announced the resumption of social events and Kuwait Wedding celebrations in government-managed wedding halls starting April 26.
The Ministry of Social Affairs confirmed that wedding halls will reopen for approved events. However, only venues meeting fire safety and technical standards will be allowed to operate.
Officials said the decision applies only to halls that comply with requirements set by the General Fire Force. Maintenance and safety readiness are also mandatory.
The announcement means that Kuwait Wedding ceremonies can now be held again in selected government venues after previous restrictions.
The ministry stressed that public safety remains the top priority. All venues must follow strict operational guidelines before hosting any event.
Bookings for weddings have now officially reopened. Couples can reserve halls through the โMunasebatโ and โSahelโ digital platforms.
Authorities clarified that only approved locations will be available for booking. Non-compliant venues will remain closed until they meet required standards.
The ministry said that Kuwait Wedding events must strictly follow all regulations. These rules are designed to ensure safe and organized gatherings.
Officials also highlighted the importance of coordination between venue operators and safety authorities. Regular inspections will continue to monitor compliance.
The decision marks a gradual return to normal social life in the country. However, officials warned that safety violations will not be tolerated.
Authorities explained that reopening wedding halls is part of a controlled plan. The focus is on balancing social activities with public safety measures.
The Kuwait Wedding sector is expected to benefit from this move, as demand for events is likely to increase.
Families and event organizers have been advised to follow all booking procedures carefully. This includes selecting only approved and compliant halls.
Officials reiterated that any violation of rules could result in cancellation of events. Strict action may also be taken against non-compliant venues.
