Nepal’s new interim prime minister has pledged to act on the demands of protesters calling for an end to corruption. Her promise comes after weeks of nationwide demonstrations led by “Gen Z” activists forced the resignation of the previous leader.
The movement, powered by young people and social media campaigns, grew rapidly across Kathmandu and other cities. Protesters accused leaders of ignoring corruption, blocking opportunities, and wasting national resources.
