Pakistani public figures have expressed deep condolences following the distressing crash of an Indian Tejas fighter jet in Dubai that resulted in the pilot’s death.
The incident, which occurred during an airshow performance, sparked reactions across the region as details of the tragedy emerged.
Speaking to reporters, former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi shared a Punjabi verse, saying, “If your enemy dies then you shouldn’t rejoice, you also have to die someday.”
Afridi’s statement highlighted the human loss involved, stressing empathy over rivalry during such painful moments.
