Australian journalist and pro-Palestine activist Robert Martin has confirmed that he has embraced Islam after weeks of speculation on social media. The announcement has drawn wide attention, especially from supporters who have followed his work on human rights issues in Palestine.
In a post shared on X, Robert Martin wrote, “The rumours are true, I’ve decided to embrace Islam. And I’m very much at peace with my decision.” His message came after growing discussions about his spiritual journey, which many believed had been influenced by his years of reporting from Palestine.
Martin first visited Palestine in 2014. His coverage quickly gained international recognition as he highlighted the systematic human rights violations faced by Palestinians.
