Medina – Sheikh Faisal Nouman, the esteemed Muadhin of Holy Masjid-e-Nabwi, passed away on 23 December. His death has been mourned by religious scholars, worshippers, and Muslims worldwide.
The namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayer) for Sheikh Faisal Nouman was offered at Masjid an-Nabawi after Fajr prayer on Tuesday. He was laid to rest at the historic Baqi Al-Gharqad cemetery, a site of immense spiritual significance.
Sheikh Faisal Nouman was appointed as a Muadhin of Masjid an-Nabwi in 1422 AH (2001 CE). He dedicated 25 years of his life to raising the call to prayer, serving the Prophet’s Mosque with devotion and humility until his passing in 1447 AH (2025 CE).
During his tenure, Sheikh Faisal Nouman continued a cherished tradition of calling the Adhan, preserving a sacred legacy that has resonated across generations. His service was marked by sincerity, discipline, and deep spiritual commitment.
