The international medical organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has warned of a severe health crisis in Gaza. According to MSF, tens of thousands of Gazans need medical evacuation: MSF due to escalating violence and overwhelmed hospitals. The organization called for urgent humanitarian access to help patients in critical condition.
MSF officials reported that Gaza’s medical facilities are running out of essential supplies, including oxygen, medications, and surgical equipment. Many hospitals are unable to treat patients with serious injuries, chronic illnesses, or urgent medical needs.
A spokesperson for MSF stated that tens of thousands of Gazans need medical evacuation: MSF and emphasized that delays could result in more deaths. Evacuation is especially critical for children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
The organization highlighted that current conditions in Gaza are worsening due to damaged infrastructure, fuel shortages, and limited electricity. Hospitals face interruptions in essential services, affecting patient care. MSF urged the international community to act quickly to facilitate safe medical evacuation routes.
Medical teams on the ground reported that emergency wards are overcrowded, and some patients are being treated in hallways or tents. Doctors described a desperate situation where life-saving interventions are delayed due to lack of resources.
MSF also appealed to all parties to respect humanitarian law and allow safe passage for patients needing urgent medical care. They noted that without intervention, tens of thousands of Gazans need medical evacuation: MSF will face life-threatening consequences.
The organization continues to provide support where possible, including emergency medical supplies and on-site care. However, MSF emphasized that evacuation is essential for patients who cannot be treated locally.
This warning comes as the Gaza health system reaches a breaking point. International agencies and governments are being called on to coordinate efforts and ensure timely medical assistance to those most in need.
