In Sharjah, UAE, a residential apartment fire resulted in the tragic deaths of a Pakistani father and his daughter. The Pakistani Consulate in Dubai confirmed the devastating incident, stating that the fire occurred in the apartment of a Pakistani expatriate’s family in Sharjah.

Regrettably, the father and one of his daughters lost their lives in the fire. The consulate reported that the wife and two other children are currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Qasmiya Hospital Sharjah. The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai is in contact with the employer of the deceased father and is providing support to the grieving family during this difficult time.

The fatal incident took place in the Muweileh area of Sharjah during the early hours, and the cause of death was attributed to suffocation. The consulate’s involvement includes ensuring necessary assistance and support for the affected family.

The tragic event highlights the challenges and risks faced by expatriate communities, with Pakistani nationals constituting the second-largest expat group in the UAE, where they form a significant part of the diverse population of 1.7 million residents.
