“We are determined that Afghanistan will ensure its territory is not used again for terrorism,” Miller stated. He further stressed the need for the Taliban to uphold its counter-terrorism promises made to the international community. “It is unequivocal that Afghanistan bears the responsibility to prevent the establishment of safe havens for terrorist organizations,” emphasized Miller.

He stressed the importance of Afghanistan’s stance against groups like al-Qaeda and ISIS, underlining the critical need to deny them sanctuary within Afghan borders. The US State Department spokesperson opted not to respond to inquiries regarding Atchison College’s principal during the press briefing.
