UAE rejecting visas for Pakistanis

A number of Pakistanis have resorted to social media to express their dissatisfaction with immigration authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) rejecting their visa applications. They claim that despite having a travel history, their visas are being denied.
Rizwan, one of the offended, stated that his wife visited Dubai roughly 26 times in the last decade and that he has lived in Dubai for over 20 years. Despite this, his wife’s visa was denied, he added.

Another complainant, Fatima, stated that, citing Rizwan’s tweet, many people are being rejected by UAE officials for trivial reasons.

To back up Rizwan’s tweet, Abdullah Jan disclosed that his brother-in-law’s visa was denied although his sister had no problems throughout the procedure. He also emphasised that his brother-in-law is a well-known YouTuber.

Despite the fact that the UAE is one of the most secure countries in the world, the Government of Canada has said in its thorough travel advise for the UAE on its website that there is a terrorism threat in the country.
Furthermore, the website adds that terrorist strikes at government offices, military posts, schools, houses of worship, and other public locations could occur at any time.
