US Advises Citizens to Depart Lebanon on Any Ticket

The US embassy in Beirut has urged American citizens to leave Lebanon immediately using any available ticket due to increasing regional tensions. This advisory follows a similar warning from the UK, which highlighted the risk of a rapid deterioration in the situation.

Iran has vowed severe retaliation against Israel for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, which came shortly after Israel killed Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut. The heightened tensions are feared to involve Hezbollah, potentially leading to a significant Israeli response.
