Washington: The United States has confirmed the sale of a $700 million air defence missile system to Taiwan, aimed at strengthening the island’s defensive capabilities amid rising regional tensions.
According to U.S. defense officials, the system includes advanced surface-to-air missiles capable of intercepting aerial threats, providing Taiwan with enhanced protection against potential attacks. The sale reflects ongoing strategic cooperation between Washington and Taipei.
