The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced that NADRA to establish its sixth mega centre in Karachi, located in the Malir district. The new facility aims to reduce the workload on existing centres and improve service delivery for citizens.
An MoU was signed between NADRA and the Model Colony Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) to set up the registration centre on a half-acre site in Model Colony. The project is expected to be completed within eight months and will provide services such as CNIC issuance, B-Form processing, arms licences, and other essential documentation.
Model Town Chairman Zafar Ahmed Khan said the land has already been allocated for the project. He added that the new mega centre will enhance access to NADRA’s services for residents in Karachi’s Malir area.
NADRA Regional Head Office Director General Aamir Ali Khan described the initiative as a significant step toward improving civic amenities. He confirmed that NADRA to establish the sixth major centre in Karachi and expects it to be fully operational within a year.
The director general highlighted that while technology and artificial intelligence have improved service delivery, they have also increased risks of cybercrime. He assured citizens that NADRA has strong security systems and modern safeguards in place to protect sensitive data from potential breaches.
Officials emphasized that the new facility will make it easier for citizens to access critical services without long queues or delays. They also noted that this development reflects NADRA’s commitment to providing efficient and secure services across the country.
With growing demand for documentation services, NADRA to establish this mega centre is expected to significantly improve convenience for residents of Karachi. Authorities believe the facility will streamline processes and reduce waiting times, making essential services more accessible to the public.
