The TPA injection, priced at around Rs80,000, is crucial for reducing long-term disability if administered within 4 to 5 hours of a stroke. Patients can now access this life-saving treatment 24/7, ensuring timely intervention and better recovery outcomes.

Major hospitals in Lahore providing the free TPA injection include Services Hospital, Mayo Hospital, Punjab Institute of Neurosciences, and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

Other hospitals across Punjab offering this treatment include:

  • Jinnah Hospital Lahore
  • Allied Hospital Faisalabad
  • Aziz Fatima Hospital Faisalabad

  • Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot
  • Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahim Yar Khan
  • Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi
  • DHQs in Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Kasur, and Narowal

Health officials highlighted that the timely administration of the TPA injection can prevent severe complications and lifelong paralysis in stroke patients. This initiative aims to make essential treatment accessible to all citizens, regardless of financial constraints.

Doctors are urging people to recognize the early signs of a stroke, such as sudden weakness, facial drooping, or difficulty speaking, and immediately seek medical help. Early treatment with the TPA injection significantly improves the chances of recovery.
