Gold Price in Pakistan Falls for Third Day – Traders Alert

Gold price in Pakistan fell for the third straight day on Wednesday, following global trends in the precious metals market. The drop reflects both international price movements and local market conditions.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola declined by Rs2,500, reaching Rs456,962. Similarly, 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs2,143 to Rs391,771. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also decreased by Rs1,964, settling at Rs359,136.

Silver prices in Pakistan followed the downward trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola fell by Rs212 to Rs7,718, while 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs182 to Rs6,616.

Internationally, gold remained on track for its strongest annual gain in over four decades despite recent declines. Global gold prices fell by $25, reaching $4,346 per ounce, with spot gold steady at $4,345.75 per ounce as of 0404 GMT. US gold futures for February delivery lost 0.5%, trading at $4,365 per ounce.

Bullion prices have surged 66% in 2025, marking the largest annual gain since 1979. Analysts attribute this rally to geopolitical tensions, interest rate cuts, bets on further US Federal Reserve easing, strong demand from central banks, and rising holdings in exchange-traded funds.

However, experts said the recent dip in gold price and other precious metals is largely due to technical corrections and thin trading in the markets. Despite the minor decline, gold continues to remain a strong investment amid ongoing global uncertainties.

Investors and traders are advised to monitor both local and international market developments as the year ends. The current drop in gold price is seen as a short-term adjustment, with expectations of continued interest in the yellow metal in 2026.
