Gold prices declined in Pakistan on Thursday, following another drop in international bullion markets. The latest decrease comes a day after domestic rates recorded a sharp increase.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of Gold per tola fell by Rs. 1,800. The new rate now stands at Rs. 432,036 per tola across local markets.
The price of 10 grams of Gold also moved lower during Thursday’s trading session. It dropped by Rs. 1,543, bringing the new price to Rs. 370,401.
The latest decline follows a strong rise recorded on Wednesday. On that day, gold prices increased by Rs. 4,600, closing at Rs. 433,836 per tola. The recent fall has reversed part of those gains.
International market trends also remained weak. The global price of gold fell by $18 per ounce. It settled at $4,096 per ounce, reflecting softer demand and changing market conditions.
Local gold prices usually move in line with international bullion rates. Changes in the global market, currency movements, and investor sentiment often affect domestic prices. As a result, fluctuations in international prices are closely watched by traders and investors in Pakistan.
Jewellers and bullion dealers monitor these daily changes because they directly influence buying and selling activity. Price movements also affect consumers planning to purchase gold for investment, weddings, or personal use.
Market analysts say gold prices can remain volatile due to global economic developments. Inflation expectations, interest rate decisions, and geopolitical events often influence the direction of international bullion markets. These factors eventually impact local prices as well.
Silver prices also recorded a decline on Thursday. According to the latest market update, silver per tola fell by Rs. 33 to Rs. 6,370 in Pakistan.
Experts advise investors to keep track of daily market updates before making buying or selling decisions. Regular price changes can create opportunities for both investors and consumers depending on market conditions.
