The PDMA DG confirmed that four agencies, including the PDMA, worked together to contain the blaze. He added that the fire is expected to be fully extinguished within one to two hours.
Authorities warned shop owners to remain cautious and ensure safety measures are in place to prevent future incidents. The damaged shops at Achakzai Plaza will require inspections before resuming normal business operations.
Local residents praised the efforts of the firefighters and rescue teams. They noted that quick action helped prevent further spread to nearby buildings.
