NAIROBI – Pakistani company Cotton Craft (Pvt) Ltd is seeking new business opportunities in Kenya for its surgical dressing products. The company’s delegation visited Nairobi this week to explore potential supply contracts with hospitals and private companies.
The delegation included Mr. Moazzam Shaikh, Export Manager, and Mr. Salman Shahid, owner of Cotton Craft . They were hosted by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Mr. Ibrar Hussain Khan, and Commercial Counsellor Ms. Adeela Younis. The visit aims to strengthen trade relations and expand the company’s footprint in East Africa.
During their visit, the Commercial Section arranged business-to-business (B2B) meetings for Cotton Craft representatives. These sessions focused on potential export deals of surgical dressings to key institutions, including the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (Kemsa) and Aga Khan Hospital. Discussions also included opportunities with various private healthcare providers in Kenya.

Officials noted that Cotton Craft has a strong reputation in Pakistan for producing high-quality surgical dressings. Its products meet international standards, making them suitable for healthcare facilities abroad. The company’s management highlighted their interest in meeting Kenya’s growing demand for medical supplies.
The High Commissioner emphasized the importance of promoting Pakistani exports in Africa. He stated that supporting companies like Cotton Craft helps strengthen bilateral trade and opens new markets for Pakistani products. He also encouraged Kenyan partners to explore sourcing opportunities from Pakistani manufacturers.
The delegation is expected to finalize discussions with potential buyers and supply partners over the coming days. Successful deals could pave the way for Cotton Craft to establish a regular export channel to Kenya, contributing to Pakistan’s medical exports growth.
Officials from the Commercial Section said the initiative is part of broader efforts to facilitate trade between Pakistan and Kenya. They plan to continue arranging B2B meetings and trade promotion events for Pakistani companies in East Africa.
This visit marks a significant step for Cotton Craft as it seeks to expand its international presence while supporting Pakistan’s export strategy in the medical sector.
