Throat Virus Claims Another Child’s Life in Mehar, Sparks Alarm

Authorities are struggling to contain a deadly throat virus in Mehar, interior Sindh, as another child has lost his life. The virus has claimed at least eight children in the area so far.

Twelve-year-old Asif Ali Jiskani, a resident of Mehar, passed away after contracting the throat virus. The child was admitted to the DHQ Hospital in Dadu, where he received treatment for several days. Unfortunately, his condition did not improve.

Asif was later referred to Larkana for further treatment. His family claimed that he did not receive proper medical attention there and was then transferred to Karachi. Sadly, the child died on the way to Karachi.

Local health authorities have yet to take effective measures to control the spread of the throat virus in Mehar. Residents express concern over the lack of proper medical facilities and timely care for infected children.

The virus has affected many families, with children being the most vulnerable. Health experts warn that without immediate intervention, more cases may arise, putting the lives of other children at risk.

Officials urge parents to monitor symptoms such as sore throat, fever, and difficulty swallowing, and to seek medical help promptly. They also call for improved hospital care and quick response to prevent further deaths.

The rising number of fatalities has alarmed the community. Families demand urgent government action, including better medical facilities, trained staff, and necessary medicines, to fight the throat virus effectively.
