Police in Rawalpindi and Islamabad have gone on high alert ahead of a planned protest by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentarians. Authorities have set up joint special pickets at key locations across both cities.
Hundreds of additional officers have been deployed to maintain order. Security has been tightened around important government buildings. The Red Zone has been placed under strict control to prevent any unrest.
