Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, also lauded the team, saying, “The players performed brilliantly and qualified for the World Cup after an eight-year wait. This success is the result of teamwork and the hard work of all players.” He added that the performance of captain Imad Shakeel Butt and the entire squad was commendable.
The Pakistan team will now face England in the Hockey World Cup qualifying final. Officials and fans are hopeful that the team can continue their winning momentum and secure a top spot in the tournament. The victory after an eight-year gap marks a major milestone for Pakistan hockey.
