United Arab Emirates has confirmed that a military Helicopter crash killed two soldiers. The incident occurred as the country continues to face missile and drone attacks.
According to the UAE Ministry of Defense, the Helicopter crashed due to a technical malfunction. Officials said the aircraft went down during routine operations within the country.
Authorities did not report any signs of external attack causing the Helicopter crash. Early investigations suggest that a technical issue led to the accident.
The crash happened on the same day the UAE faced multiple missile and drone threats. Defense officials reported that 15 ballistic missiles and 18 drones were launched toward the country.
Security systems intercepted most of the incoming threats. Out of the 15 missiles, 12 were successfully intercepted by air defense systems. The remaining three missiles reportedly fell into the sea without causing damage.
Drone threats were also largely neutralized. Seventeen of the 18 drones were intercepted before reaching their targets. One drone crashed within UAE territory but caused limited damage.
Officials said the country’s defense systems remain on high alert. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely to protect national security.
Since the start of the attacks allegedly linked to Iran, the UAE has tracked hundreds of aerial threats. Defense data shows that 253 ballistic missiles, eight cruise missiles, and 1,440 drones have been detected.
Among these, most were intercepted by defense systems or fell into the sea. However, two missiles and 81 drones reportedly landed inside UAE territory.
The ongoing attacks have resulted in several casualties. Officials said four people have died since the beginning of the strikes.
The victims include citizens from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. In addition, about 117 people from various countries have suffered minor injuries.
Those injured include nationals from the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and several other countries.
Earlier, authorities in Abu Dhabi also reported injuries during efforts to intercept aerial attacks.
The Ministry of Defense said the UAE remains prepared to respond to security threats. Officials stressed that the country will take firm action against any attempt to disrupt peace and stability.
